Crashing

Used to like this little powerful inexpensive app, until somehow it kept losing my purchased version and kept reminding me to upgrade. And, to make matters worse, in order to prevent crashes, it now doesnt even open. What a joke. Bitter "development". Can I expect this all over again when I upgrade to iOS X?
